Duration: Permanent Location: Seven Fields, PA/ Zip Code: 16046 Compensation: Depend on Experience Role: Supplier Relationship Manager SME Role Description: The Supplier Relationship Manager SME would need to have at least 10 years of experience. This Candidate will be responsible for managing all Divisional SRMs, and insuring that an effective strategic alliance is developed and maintained with the preferred suppliers to achieve optimal value for all of the Client's Business units. The SRM SME will also create the Governance, Policies/ Procedures, Methodologies, and Tools required by the Divisional SRMs to implement, develop and manage the Client's suppliers. This Candidate will also be responsible for the necessary training and subject matter knowledge transfer for the divisional SRMs and will also be responsible for consolidating all Divisional compliance and performance information into an aggregate Client Corporate format, and reporting to senior management. This role will partner heavily with key business partners within the COE, and throughout Client, including Global Sourcing, Finance, IT, HR, and Legal. In addition to all of the above responsibilities the SRM SME will be responsible for managing the relationship of strategic Global suppliers. There are two levels of SME. The SRM SME Manager will manage all of the other SRM SMEs and reports directly to the Global Director Supply Chain COE. The SRM SME will manage the Divisional SRM assigned to him/her and will report directly to the SRM SME Manager. Qualifications Experience: - Proven experience developing and managing partnership development programs focused on tangible TCO improvements, ideally with suppliers. - The SME Manager role should have a Bachelors degree and at 20 years work experience related to the responsibilities above. The SME role should have a Bachelors degree and 15 years experience. In the absence of a degree, 20 years of experience is required in the area of partnership development, strategic sourcing, contract management, continuous improvement, outsourcing, procurement or related field. - Technical and/or operations knowledge/background is preferred. - Experience in developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs# and operationalizing their use as standard operating practice. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to find and analyze data resulting in a focused drive of improvement initiatives. - Proven cross-functional team leadership and disciplined project management skills required. - Effective working both within a team, as well as independently. - Analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities in finance, business and technology subjects. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Strong PC experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications: Education or Experience - MBA. - 20+ years experience in a Senior Procurement position. - Previous Lean or Six Sigma or other continuous improvement experience. Interpersonal Skills: - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data. - Ability to write in a clear and concise manner. - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions. - Heavy Change Management experience. Technical Skills: - Advanced expertise in using analytics for Compliance and Performance evaluations. Other Desired Skills or Qualifications: - APICS, CPPM, SPSM, CSCP,or SCOR certification would be a plus. - Ability to develop Strategic Plans. - Ability to Align Suppliers deliverables to add value to Client's Business Units. - Thorough understanding of the concept of Total Cost of Ownership. - Demonstrated 'Can-Do' attitude. Essential Functions/ Core Responsibilities: - Design and develop the Governance, Policies/Procedures, Methodologies, and Tools that the Divisional SRMs need to successfully perform their functions in support of the Client Supplier Management Program (Implement new supply arrangements, develop and manage suppliers to KPIs, continuous improvement). - Design and implement a focused Strategic Partner Relationship Program for Client including a strategic business plan, communication plan, and implementation plan. - Develop and deliver all training for Divisional SRMs and other stake-holders as needed. - Engaging with internal and external senior leadership to identify and pursue new partnership opportunities. - Subject Matter Expert for assisting with: - Building and prioritizing relationships with strategic suppliers to help drive increased value for Client and its suppliers. - Designing, organizing and managing of executive level strategic business reviews and supplier conferences. - Managing and monitoring supplier performance metrics with a standardized supplier scorecard to motivate exceptional performance and identify/reward 'best in class' suppliers. - Communication and Collaboration with all Stake Holders. - Understand the existing supplier management initiatives and needs of internal Client customers and work collectively with them to develop and implement strategies that support those needs. - Coordinate supplier management strategies with counterparts in SC COE, Global Sourcing, Divisional Procurement and other business groups to leverage enterprise-wide initiatives and ensure optimal benefits to Client. - Work closely with team-members in Global Sourcing and Supplier Management to rationalize Client's supply base and manage strategic supplier relationships.
